Hi I am Rebecca, a cake designer based in Chipping Campden, in the North Cotswolds. I am a life long foodie and, from childhood, loved to cook, bake and craft. Following a career in corporate finance and many years of creating fun cakes for friends, family, neighbours and church whilst taking patisserie, cake decorating and flower making courses, I founded Cakes by Rebecca in 2019.
I am passionate about using fine quality ingredients, best practice food techniques and sugar artistry to create delicious and beautiful wedding and other celebration cakes. I first learnt to make sugar flowers under the tutelage of Ulla Netzband and, over the years, honed my pastry and modelling skills to create delicious cakes with lifelike sugar flowers and refined edible cake toppers and, as a result, I’ve had the pleasure of delighting clients and returning customers.
Creating a centrepiece that reflects you and the spirit of your special day is a privilege I don't take lightly. I work with you to unveil the look and flavours you desire adapting and developing recipes when necessary to suit your tastes and dietary needs.
